An overview of the functions
In the central master data module the entire PPS basic data is administered, such as addresses of customers and suppliers, contact persons, addresses for submitting offers, invoices and deliveries, bank account details, and terms of delivery and payment. Furthermore, there are informative statistics like customer turnover or delivery records.
In the stocklist and bill of materials management there is mainly the article and parts master data, working plans and material master data. The graphic structural components display, the where-used list of parts and the inventory management with a direct view into the warehouse support users in carrying out their daily work.
The preliminary cost-calculation comprises all costs and surcharges even beyond one's own manufacturing expenses and includes the breakeven analysis with full and marginal costs. Calculation variations with different quantities and working plans result in a scaling of the calculated prices and can be taken on directly into the quotation.
Customer orders are created with only few entries based on the stocklist or directly from the quotation and the preliminary cost-calculation. Production orders as a result will automatically contain all the manufacturing papers such as route cards, vouchers for material and test plans. The order book will show immediately if a delivery date is in danger of being compromised.
The electronic accounts book grants you insight into your current accounts at all times. The RAG indicator (red, amber, green) gives you a prompt overview of overdue invoices and transfers them to the reminders list. For business planning there are automatic statistics drafted with regard to trading volumes and even a customer ranking list.
The ordering that automatically generates purchase order proposals (inspection needs, minimum inventory, etc.) and the warehouse management which evaluates the inventory complete the consistent and flexible functionality of Business PPS via due-date or permanent inventory..
