rwt's future-oriented manufacturing does not require additional hardware, such as PCs, terminals or MDC modules for the DNC and MDC ODC operations. The entire NC data is transferred by the operator by way of user dialogs integrated on the controls. For example you can make an additional query via a job-list regarding NC program versions or tools that are presently available on the CNC machines in the workshop.
In MDC ODC operation, production orders and manufacturing means are displayed directly on the control panel. Production times and downtimes, as well as number of pieces are recorded only by software engineering and automatically allocated to the proper order via the actively ongoing NC program. Therefore, the MDC ODC data collection can take place even during fully automatic operation or during parallel order handling in pallet operation with the best quality of data..
For CNC machines that only have a serial DNC connection, rwt can provide network integration with the economical industrial terminal FN30x or with a Comport-Server, whereas in this case the DNC dialog can be carried out via multiuser PCs. With industrial terminal FN30x you can also conduct the MDC ODC operation.
The network integration of all machines is done with rwt Fileservice communication by Ethernet, if necessary also by WLAN (Wireless LAN). If in a manufacturing environment the installation of network cables is too costly or if in flexible manufacturing, machines are frequently taken to different locations, the wireless network facilitates the optimum infrastructure.
